Byram Animal Rescue Kindness Squad
BARKS works in association with the Byram Pound located on Mansfield Drive in Byram Township, N.J. In addition to the pets that can be seen at the Byram Pound, we also have many cats in foster homes and several dogs in local kennels. All pets can be seen by appointment by contacting (973) 300-3185 or info@barksinc.com. In addition, many adoptable pets can be seen at our regularly scheduled adoption days which are listed in the event calendar.

The Franklin Weis is collecting donations for BARKS! Event continues through May 25th.
Please shop, support and spread the word!

We thank
Christopher Colson & Hackettstown Oil Corp.
Rt 46, Hackettstown
for their generous donation to BARKS!!

We at BARKS mourn the passing of Sheryl Thole, our President for over 15 years. She was a pillar of our organization and an absolute champion of animals. Sheryl was especially a hero for sick and abused cats. We will all miss her terribly. If you would like to make a donation in her memory, one that will further support homeless animals, please click here for her memorial page. Thank you.

IN THE NEWS:
BARKS was featured in the NJ Herald, March 3, 2016, "FIV-positive cats living long, happy lives" -- featuring BARKS adoptable cats and based on our New FIV Resource Page.

Winter 2016 - We still REALLY need your Help!!
We need more volunteers to help care for the cats at the Byram Shelter - nightly and weekend feeding/scooping. We also need 'cat socializers' - i.e. you pet the kitties to reduce their stress and increase their acceptance of humans. It's a fun job!

At the Newton Petsmart - we have morning and evening shifts open for cleaning the Adoptable Cat Showcase. Only 8-10 cats, it goes quick! Must be 18 or over for either location. Please fill out the volunteer application and join us today!
